Birthday Boy!

The camera was set on manual focus for all the present opening so of course nothing is focused. He had a blast though, tearing the paper off was the best part. Pop and Gigi actually gave him a kids cell phone so that he can call whenever he wants. I have a feeling we will get a call from day care one day when he sneaks it in his backpack and gets caught with it! The cake slid right off the platter and flipped upside down before we could even do candles so no pictures of that either! It tasted great though which is really all that counts.

And just like that, my baby turned 3. I can't believe how fast these 3 years have flown by!

We've got the #1 part down, its just the #2 that doesn't want to cooperate. You would think a whole box of doughnuts would do the trick but it didn't.

January Snow

This one made me glad that we live in the south...we couldn't go anywhere for 3 days and I really thought I was going to go crazy. It was so cold and would not melt...Dale made another great snowman: A little advice though, if you have dogs, don't make your snowman's face out of candy.

Grady is not the biggest fan of cold weather. He takes after his mommy. Dewars on the other hand couldn't get enough. He even went in the lake during all of this!

I made the poor decision to park in the front to unload groceries the night before the snow. Even with 4 wheel drive it took Dale some maneuvering to get us moving.

The Day After Christmas Snow

I actually set my alarm for 6:30 a.m. to get to the after Christmas sale at Pier One for some ornaments. When I left the house there was a little snow on the ground and a few snowflakes coming down but nothing too noteworthy. By the time I got home, this is what the house looked like:Every good daddy freezes his butt off to build his little boy a snowman. This one was much more successful than last weeks. Turns out you can't use m&m's for a snowman face when you have 2 dogs...

Believe it or not we had an even bigger snow storm this past week, I may get around to posting pictures in a month or so, we'll see!

Christmas Pictures

Grandy and Nana gave Grady his first car. Problem is, he doesn't like to steer. He prefers to just step on the gas and see where he ends up. Which leads to Dale having to get him unstuck a lot!

Look, no hands!

Grady's ball pit has always been a favorite but the sides were way too low so Santa brought him a firetruck to help hold the balls in better. He laid in it and watches puppies after all the presents had been opened.

My Baby Is Three!

Almost. He will be three on Sunday. And my pregnancy brain, which is obviously not working so well, ordered the cutest invitations...with the wrong date! If you didn't see the extra little slip of paper in your invite, the party is really on the 15th. Feel free to stop by on the 16th too if you really want to see Grady on his actual birthday.

The First Present

We started Christmas off this past Sunday with Pop and Gigi. Grady is a very deliberate "unwrapper". Every piece of paper has to come off the box, along with all sticky dots, ribbons and name tags before it is ready to be opened. Christmas morning could turn into an all day affair...no complaints here though! I want to make it last and enjoy it as long as possible!

Santa Claus Take 2

This past weekend we had brunch with the very same Santa Claus at the Summit Club. Grady even wore his coat and tie for the special occasion. I think he got about 5 candy canes out of Santa!
