Friday's In The Backyard

Some playhouse fun. Sometimes I think that Grady thinks the climbing wall is a slide. God help him if he ever tests that theory out.

We played lawnmower.

Grady made sure to live up to his calling as the messiest kid in the world.

And at the end of the night, he was red faced, sweaty, dirty and finally exhausted.


A quick bedtime story and a collection of duces sent him off to a long night's sleep that lasted until 8:30 Saturday morning. My sweet boy sure knows when I need to catch up on rest. I love him so much!

Life Of The Party

We went to a CPA BBQ last night and while Grady wasn't one to sit still, we had lots of chasers on hand. Uncles come in really handy sometimes!

He's Eating Us Out Of House And Home

Literally. He found this dollar bill and tried to eat it. It was soaking wet and scattered all around him. I think we found all of the pieces but if not, I'm sure the remaining evidence will appear in a few days.

The irony is that this very dollar bill was accidentally crumpled up and thrown away in the bathroom trash can. I saved it from its demise and put it on Dale's bedside table. It only lasted for about 30 minutes after its rescue. In hindsight, I should have just left it where it was.
