Naked Baby

I love my little naked boy so much... I'm not so sure if the feeling is mutual though!

Really Late Birthday Update

I am getting really bad at remembering the 16th. I don't think we got last month at all, granted we were out of town. But 5 days late, here are the 20 month Patrick Portraits.

Rainy Weather And Painted Arm Tattoos

Can you believe Grady's granddad actually paid someone to tattoo his grandson's arm last night at the Greek Festival? At least he chose wisely and stuck with the lizard/gator family.

All About Grady's New House

Here is the front door. It is wood and very pretty but for some reason, it is painted red on the outside. I have started a list of Dale projects and getting out the sander and stain is on up there.
Here are the stairs that lead down to 2 bedrooms, the dog's room/office and the playroom:
Kitchen. I can't wait to tear out these cabinets and get rid of the track lights. It will look nothing like this when our "master kitchen designer" is done with it.
Here is the fireplace, the picture is taken from the dining room with the kitchen to the left. Our master bedroom is straight ahead, behind the wall with the fireplace.
Then we look outside from the upstairs deck. We are definitely going to trim back some trees for a better view.

And then we go downstairs. This is the soon to be playroom. The tile will be gone and in its place will be soft cushy carpet for wrestling around and playing on. We aren't crazy, the tile must go. It is absolutely the worst tile job I have ever seen. I don't think they even bothered to wipe the grout. They also stopped about 6 inches short around the perimeter of the room...This is a view looking down the hallway from the playroom. Straight ahead will be the guest room, Grady's room is before that on the right and the bathroom and dogs room are on the left.Guest room:Painted linoleum floors:Grady's room:Yes, every room has a built in dresser. Why? No clue. Are they going? Absolutely! So is the linoleum. Part of the fun of a foreclosed house like this is going to be watching it change and mold into our perfect home.Any design ideas? Let me know!

Watch Out For Skeletor

He has one mean swing with his hammer, and most often he uses the wrong end!

Summer's End

Well, the last beach trip for the summer has come and gone. Our bronzed baby had one last chance to work on his tan and you should have seen him taking advantage of every moment. This is his entry into the contest for the next Coppertone baby:
Of course every true southern beach goer knows that while you must work on your tan, you also have to take some time out to play in the shade and build sand castles. No trip to the beach is complete without some Beaufort stew so after a long day on the beach, Grady enjoyed gnawing on some corn on the cob. We have taught him well, he can clean an ear of corn faster than us.Dinner was followed up with some Carolina football. I don't think Grady understands the game of football yet because he is smiling while daddy obviously is not as jubilant. Either that, or he is a Gator at heart.
And in true Scott family tradition, no vacation can end without a new pair of boots. Behold, the dinosaur rain boots. I think we could send this in to "What Not to Wear" and win the $5,000 shopping spree in a second.

2 Questions

1) Am I too old for this?
2) Who volunteers to help us move this thing to the new house?

Holiday? We Gather At The Pig House!

The great thing about a big family is that there is always someone willing to chase Grady around and help him out in his climbing endeavors. Thanks Daniel!

Lunchables Are My Hero

Thanks to these pre-packaged meals in a box, Grady gets to choose between hamburgers, hot dogs and chicken dunks about 3 nights a week. They come complete with a Capri Sun to drink and some sort of tasty dessert. I tell myself that they include the dessert for me. After all, I am trying to teach healthy eating habits and Nestle crunch bars and Airheads do not fit into this family's healthy eating routine. Hamburgers, hot dogs and chicken dunks, however, are considered to be in the same food group as green leafy salads and broccoli. According to the box, Lunchables also provide an excellent source of calcium. How can you argue with that?
